About albert-einstein.info
Why this site?
Albert Einstein is one of the most documented people who ever lived — so why another site? Because his story is usually told in fragments: a famous equation here, a biography note there. We wanted one place that follows the whole arc — the patent clerk, the miracle year, relativity, the Nobel, the refugee, the icon — so the science and the life finally read as one.
The whole arc, in order
Einstein's life and physics are spread across dozens of Wikipedia articles. We weave them into a single story — from a compass that amazed a sick boy to gravitational waves confirmed a century later — so the journey of Albert Einstein reads as one connected thread rather than a pile of entries.
The ideas, made graspable
E=mc², curved spacetime, the photoelectric effect — we explain the famous ideas in plain language, with interactive pieces and pictures that let you feel them, before you ever meet an equation.
The person, not just the icon
Behind the poster is a real life: a difficult father and son, a pacifist who signed the letter that urged America to start its own atomic research, a refugee who became the face of genius. We tell that too — plainly and with sources.
Sourced, so you can trust it
We write our own summaries and name the source beneath each section — chiefly Wikipedia, cross-checked across editions — with a link to read on. Famous quotes are verified; the ones he never actually said are flagged.
Calm and self-hosted
No ads, no pop-ups, no cookies — only an anonymous visitor count. Fonts and images live on our own server, light or dark, on any device — a quiet place to read, the way Einstein himself preferred to think.
Free knowledge, given back
The text builds on the free Wikipedia under CC BY-SA, the images on Wikimedia Commons (public domain or freely licensed); each is credited and linked. Making free knowledge beautiful is precisely the point of those licences.
Spotted a mistake?
Even on a subject this well-documented, errors and myths creep in. If you notice anything wrong, outdated or unclear, we'd be glad to hear about it via the contact in the imprint — every correction helps.
And if you want to be sure: every section names its sources. To the home page →
